Strengthening Academic Quality through Benchmarking: Universitas Pertamina Visits the Department of International Relations UPNVY

Yogyakarta, 11 February 2026 — The Department of International Relations, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta (UPNVY), welcomed a benchmarking visit from the International Relations Study Program of Universitas Pertamina on Wednesday (11/2). The activity formed part of a shared commitment to enhancing academic quality, particularly in accreditation management and curriculum development.

The benchmarking session served as a platform for exchanging insights and sharing best practices related to strategies for improving study program performance. Discussions focused on accreditation governance, the implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), and curriculum alignment with the evolving demands of higher education in a rapidly changing global environment.

Conducted in a constructive and collegial atmosphere, the meeting facilitated dialogue on various aspects of academic management, including adaptive curriculum design, accreditation documentation processes, and approaches to strengthening graduate competencies. The engagement also provided an opportunity for both institutions to reflect on current challenges and innovations in higher education.

The Department of International Relations UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta viewed the visit as an important step in expanding academic networks and fostering inter-university collaboration. The benchmarking activity is expected to contribute meaningfully to institutional learning and continuous improvement efforts for both parties.
